CLIENT OVERVIEW
Who says "brainy" science can't be breakthrough and beautiful too? The NeuroCog Collective's primary goal is
to bring researchers from both the cognitive and neural sciences together with a shared vision that will help to unify the study of mind and brain.
PROJECT LEADERSHIP
Originally, I was asked to create a basic flyer with the NeuroCog details. However, a conference so unique, furthering an as-yet unfounded way of studying the brain, deserved more. The solution was an attractive and professional identity package, pieces that not only would promote the conference, but also visually portray the merging of these two scientific disciplines and help invitees to better envision the conference possibilities.
DESIGN PROCESS NOTES
As lead designer, I first developed the conference logo. Through it, I graphically reinforced the collaboration between the neural and cognitive scientific disciplines. My color palette symbolized the two disciplines with their two different approaches and how they were coming together, complementing and supporting each other as they reached toward a shared goal. The logo is versatile, so it could be adapted easily for future conferences.
RESPONSE
Now that the invitations are rolling out, response has been extremely positive. The consistency of the professional look has worked as I predicted. Attendance to the conference has become something prestigious.
